INTRODUCTION
Friends, We will discuss
about the topics Blog and Online forums. The topic blog is a discussion or
informational website published on the world wide web consisting of discrete, Often informal diary – style text entries
posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most
recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. And the Online forum is
a message board, Online discussion group,
bulletin board or web forum. An online forum is a discussion area on a website where by members
on post discussions, read and respond to posts by other forum members.
The main important of blog
in educational field is highly motivating to students, especially those who
otherwise might not become participants in classrooms. Blogs can serve at least
four basic functions are classroom management, collaboration, discussion and
student portfolios. The online forum helps in the educational field help are
constructive interactions and participation between students increase over time
etc. Both blog and onlineforum are most relevant today.
These information are
collected from various websites and several books from libraries.
Now, Lets discuss about
the topic ’BLOG’. This topic is interesting to us because, we are already learn
in our technology lab. So lets study more about the blog.

Wikipedia defines a blog
as’ A weblog is web based publication consisting primarily of the periodic
articles, most often in reverse chronological order”
Blogging is the posting of
journal like pages to a website while these pages can contain photos or media,
they are primarily focused on the easy ability to post written thought to a
website. The posting are
organized chronologically . Typically a blog “post” can be “commented” on by
others allows for a dialogue on the topic of the post. Teachers and educations
have used blogs to allows for what is commonly called “peer review” meaning
that students can post writing or assignments to the web and other students can
respond or encourage through the comment feature.
In a broader and more
educational system, blogs are about communicating. We observe our experience,
reflect on it, and then write about other people read our reflections, respond
from their perspectives by commenting or writing there on blog article.

Online forums rarely turn
into heated arguments as people
are given time to research and consider their comments before replying, This in
turn makes high quality discussion. Well structured and appropriately
facilitated online discussion can provide
a learning environment that allows the immediate application of new information
to owner’s personal and professional lives. Besides, online forums, access to
knowledge is free and that forum members could willingly share their wealth of
knowledge and experience with other members.

Therefore technology has now become part of our life .It is also produced
significant changes in ever aspects of human life. Blog were usually the work
of a single individual occasionally of a small group, and often covered a
single subject or topic. Online forums are a kind of computer mediated
communication which allows individual to communicate with others by posting
written message to exchange idea.
. By doing the seminar, I understood more about the use of blog and
online forum in the field of education. It helped me to know more about
information technology and its application in education. As a student teacher,
this work helped more about in educational technology.
